Charity Golf Day 2019

Gaudet Luce Golf & Leisure Complex were the hosts for Libby Mae’s Little Angels Charity Golf Day on 18th June 2019.

14 teams came together to raise money for this fantastic cause. Libby Mae’s Little Angels is a local charity ran by Catshill couple Charlotte & Richard Sharratt. They set up the charity in 2013 following the devastating loss of their 2 week old daughter Libby Mae and have since gone on to raise £350,000.00 for the regions neonatal units.

The golf day was a huge success with the winning team being the charity’s ambassadors; local business JAM Productions who have supported the charity right from the start by doing their own fundraising and supplying the production, sound and lighting equipment for events.

The day was attended by local businesses, suppliers, friends and supporters of the charity including ex footballers Maik Taylor formerly of Birmingham City FC and Bromsgrove born Craig Fagan. Bromsgrove car dealership Arbury Peugeot provided cars for the day long with a prize of a car for the week for the player who won longest drive competition.

Charlotte told us ‘we couldn’t believe the weather on the day, after all the rain we have had we were expecting to get very wet. However, I did have a word with our angel in the sky and ordered dry weather and she shone through yet again. There was not a single drop of rain until the teams were finishing off and coming off the green. The day was fantastic and the players were all very generous, we raised a great amount’.

A staggering £6180.00 was raised which will go towards providing resources to Neonatal Units throughout the Midlands to help improve the Neonatal journey and to help save babies lives.

The charity’s next big event is their annual ball at The Macdonald Burlington Hotel in Birmingham on 5th October 2019. Tickets for the Caribbean Dreams Ball are on sale at a cost of £75 each or £700 for a table of 10 and include a drinks exception, 4 course dinner and an evening full of live entertainment.
