Angels Tee off - Annual Golf Day
Libby Mae’s Little Angels hosted their second annual Golf Day on 31st May 2018 at The Forest Of Arden Golf & Country Club. The day was sponsored by FUN Motor Group and 16 teams turned up despite the forcasted thunder and lightening storms for a day of Golf for this amazing local cause. Golfers Tee off was 12 noon with a shotgun start, the sun was shining brightly and the course was in prestige condition however with the expected storms golfers were given a safety briefing and course evacuation details just incase.
The day which was attended by local ex Premiership Footballer Craig Fagan who is also an Ambassador for the charity went well and the sun shone from start to finish, Charity Founder Charlotte (Libby Mae’s Mommy) told us "I had a word with my angel up above and ordered sunshine”.
Competitions like Beat The Pro, Closet to The Pin and Longest Drive were all a great success and helped the charity boost their fundraising total for the event. Money was also raised by selling Hole Sponsorship to Law Firm Irwin Mitchell, Technology Partner Midshire and Event specialists JAM Productions. A raffle, silent auction and live auction were also held.
At the end of the day, Libby’s family and friends released pink balloons into the sky and just a moment later it started to rain. Event organisers, Charlotte & Rich (Libby’s parents) said it was as if Libby was up there saying ‘Mommy & Daddy have finished’ . ‘Libby never lets us down, when we need it to stay dry for an event, it always does, we really can not believe how amazing the weather has been all day’
The event raised a staggering £5446.18 and we’re already planning 2019’s event.
